Sweet Bonanza is Pragmatic Play’s candy-themed slot and one of the most-played online slots anywhere. There are no paylines: 8 to 12 or more matching symbols anywhere on the 6×5 grid pay, the winning symbols vanish, new ones tumble into the gap, and the sequence keeps paying as long as new combinations form. Four to six lollipop scatters open the free spins, where multiplier bombs land and their values add together. Pragmatic Play publishes an RTP of 96.48% for it.
It is also no longer one game. Pragmatic has built the name into a series of seven, and they are not the same bet — the table further down sets out every one with the studio’s own RTP figure, because the sequels differ by more than the artwork.

The grid is 6 reels by 5 rows, and it uses scatter pays rather than paylines. Position does not matter: land enough of the same symbol anywhere on the screen and it pays. That is why the game feels busy compared with a 20-line slot — there is no left-to-right rule to satisfy.
The bonus game is 10 free spins, and it is where the game changes character. Multiplier bombs drop onto the grid carrying values between 2x and 100x. The detail that matters, and that most write-ups skip: the bombs stay on screen through the tumble sequence, and at the end of it every multiplier value on the grid is added together and applied to the whole win. Two 50x bombs and a 25x are not three separate multipliers — they are 125x on the total.
Three or more scatters landing during the bonus award five more free spins, so a good round can run well past ten. A long tumble chain with several bombs still on the board is the only route to a result worth talking about; everything else is small and frequent.
Two optional bet modes change the odds of reaching the bonus:
Neither is free money. Both raise the amount at risk per round, and the bonus buy in particular concentrates a session into a handful of expensive rounds — the same return spread over far fewer spins, which means a much wider swing in either direction. Several regulated markets do not allow bonus buys at all, so whether you see the button depends on where your account is registered.

Pragmatic Play has turned a single slot into a series, and casino lobbies list several of them side by side under near-identical artwork. They are not the same game. Every RTP figure below is the one Pragmatic publishes on its own game page for that title:
| Game | RTP | What is different |
| Sweet Bonanza | 96.48% | The original. 6×5 scatter pays, 4–6 scatters award up to 100x and 10 free spins, multiplier bombs 2x–100x. |
| Sweet Bonanza Xmas | 96.48% | A festive reskin of the original with the same numbers — 4+ scatters, 10 free spins, multipliers to 100x. |
| Sweet Rush Bonanza | 96.50% | Position multipliers instead of bombs: a winning spot is marked, and each further hit on that spot doubles it — 2x up to 128x. Three ante-bet and two bonus-buy options. |
| Sweet Bonanza Super Scatter | 96.51% | Super Scatters pay on the trigger itself: one awards 100x, two 500x, three 5,000x and four 50,000x — the highest ceiling in the series. |
| Sweet Bonanza 2500 | 96.52% | 6×5, wins of up to 25,000x, and candy-bomb multipliers raised to 2,500x. |
| Sweet Bonanza 1000 | 96.53% | 6×5, wins of up to 25,000x, candy-bomb multipliers to 1,000x. The highest published RTP of the seven. |
| Sweet Bonanza CandyLand | — | Not a slot at all. A live game show streamed 24/7 from a studio with a presenter and a money wheel, three bonus games and a €500,000 maximum win. |
Two practical points. First, the sequels marketed on a big number — 1000 and 2500 — take their names from the multiplier ceiling on a single candy bomb, not from the maximum win, which Pragmatic gives as up to 25,000x for both. Second, the RTP spread across the whole family is 96.48% to 96.53%, a range of five hundredths of a percent, so picking a version on RTP alone is not the deciding factor. How the multipliers behave is the real difference between them.
Pragmatic Play publishes 96.48% for Sweet Bonanza on its own game page, which is a little above the industry average for a video slot. But a supplier often ships a game in several RTP configurations and the casino chooses which one to run, so the published figure is the studio’s default rather than a guarantee of what is loaded in the lobby you are in.
Checking takes ten seconds and it is worth doing: open the game, tap the menu or the “i” icon, and the information screen states the RTP that casino has enabled. That is the only figure that applies to your spins. The slots guide explains how RTP and volatility interact over a session.
Sweet Bonanza has a demo that runs on play-money credits, and it is the sensible way to see how the tumble and the multiplier bombs behave before staking anything. Two things to keep in mind. A hundred demo spins tells you how the bonus round feels and nothing at all about long-run returns — the sample is far too small for the maths to show. And many of the free-play versions that turn up in search results are hosted by third-party sites rather than by a casino you could open an account with; Pragmatic Play hosts the demo on its own site, and the casinos that carry the game usually offer it too.
What the game does well, and the details worth knowing before you open it.
Pragmatic Play is a supplier, not a casino, so you reach Sweet Bonanza through an operator that carries the studio — and most do; it is one of the most widely distributed slots in the market. The casinos listed above all run Pragmatic Play content. What actually differs between them is worth comparing before you pick: whether the cashier supports the payment method you use, how long the operator says a withdrawal takes, and what the bonus terms allow, since slots count differently towards wagering at different sites.
For more on the games that fill the same lobbies, the JILI games guide and Super Ace guide cover the studio behind the Philippine-facing catalogue, and the casino games hub lists every guide on the site.
